ZENON-AS is the network of Zenon N.S.P., one of Russia's oldest hosting

providers, based in Moscow. The ASN is now registered to LLC "ASTRA CLOUD"

following a chain of acquisitions.

What it's used for

• Shared hosting, virtual private servers, dedicated servers, and colocation in Moscow. Reverse DNS across the announced space makes this plain: hostnames resolve as zvps…host.ru, zvm…host.ru, and …distributed.zenon.net, and a scattering of customer domains resolve directly on the space.
• Roughly 10k IPv4 addresses across a couple of dozen prefixes, chiefly within 195.2.64.0/18 and 213.189.192.0/18.

Notable

• This is a hosting provider, not an access ISP. There are no subscriber pools in the reverse DNS, only server naming.
• The ownership trail is visible in the registry: the maintainer is MNT-RUSONYX (Rusonyx acquired Zenon in 2019), while the organisation record now reads LLC "ASTRA CLOUD" after Astra Group took a controlling stake in Rusonyx. The ZENON-AS handle survives all of it.

Interesting

• Zenon was founded in the mid-1990s, which puts it among the first generation of Russian commercial internet businesses. The brand outlived two changes of owner and is still the name attached to this AS.
