BEOTEL-AS is the network of Beotel, one of Serbia's long-established

Belgrade internet providers. The AS is now registered to Telekom Srbija a.d., the

national incumbent operator, which absorbed Beotel.

What it's used for

• Consumer and business internet access in Serbia — the address space carries subscriber pools, and reverse DNS on it looks exactly like an eyeball network's (for example …adsl.dyn.beotel.net on the DSL ranges).
• Announces roughly 62,000 IPv4 addresses, anchored by two /18s, plus IPv6.

Notable

• The prefixes still carry reverse DNS from more than one absorbed brand — mail hosts under verat.net appear alongside the Beotel ranges. Consolidation in the Serbian ISP market is visible in the rDNS long after the brands stop being sold.
• This is Telekom Srbija's acquired-ISP AS rather than its primary incumbent network, so it is best read as a Belgrade-centric eyeball network inside a larger group.

Interesting

• Beotel was an early commercial internet provider in Serbia, and the AS number and the beotel.net domain have outlived the company's independence — a common pattern where routing data preserves a brand that the market has already retired.
