incumbent fixed-line telephone and broadband operator for Baja California and

part of northwestern Sonora, Mexico.

What it's used for

• Consumer and business fixed-line telephony and DSL/fiber broadband (marketed under the same Infinitum brand Telmex uses elsewhere in Mexico).
• Serves Tijuana, Mexicali, Tecate, Rosarito, and surrounding areas.

Notable

• Telnor is the regional arm of the Telmex / América Móvil group rather than an independent carrier — it is why Mexico's northwest corner shows a different ASN and holder name than the rest of the country's Telmex footprint.
• This particular AS announces only a small amount of address space; the bulk of Telnor's subscriber pools ride other ASNs in the group, so a low IP count here says little about the size of the network.
