Notable

• An institutional address: an IP here is a campus machine, a lab system or a student connection, not a household and not a hosting customer.
• ARIN's registration for the ASN dates to November 1995, so the campus has run its own autonomous system since the mid-1990s.

Interesting

• Marist sits a few miles from IBM's Poughkeepsie mainframe plant, and the two have run a joint study partnership for decades, starting with an IBM 3090 installed on campus and continuing through current-generation z-series hardware. It has made a mid-sized liberal-arts university into a serious mainframe and Linux-on-Z research site, which is not what a /16 in Poughkeepsie would otherwise suggest.
