Registered historically under the handle AMERICA and now named ZCORUM, this is

the network of ZCorum, a Georgia company that provides managed broadband services,

wholesale internet, and diagnostics to independent cable, telco, municipal, and

wireless ISPs.

What it's used for

• Wholesale and managed internet services delivered on behalf of small broadband providers. ZCorum supplies the internet side — transit, addressing, email, DNS, and diagnostics — so that small operators do not have to build it themselves.
• Because of that model, the address space largely ends up on the subscriber connections of ZCorum's partner ISPs rather than on ZCorum's own machines.

• Effectively eyeball address space at one remove: an IP here is likely a broadband subscriber of some small cable or telco operator, even though the registry names neither that operator nor the subscriber.
• ARIN's organisation record was refreshed recently and reads "Rayvion LLC DBA ZCORUM", while the ASN registration itself dates to 1995.

Interesting

• The old AMERICA handle is a direct fossil of the company's origins. ZCorum started as an Atlanta bulletin-board system in 1992 and began selling internet access in 1995 under the name America.net, which is exactly when this AS number was registered — the handle has outlived the brand by three decades.
• ZCorum was acquired by ISPN in early 2026, continuing a long run of consolidation among the companies that serve small broadband operators.
