AS197170 TECHTIES-AS - TechTies Inc.

TECHTIES-AS is TechTies Inc., a Seychelles-registered hosting operator that

appeared in the routing table in May 2026 and sells dedicated servers and

connectivity from a single claimed point of presence in the Netherlands.

What it's used for

Server hosting on leased address space. RIS observes 12 IPv4 prefixes totalling

3,328 addresses and no IPv6 at all. Every block is a /24 except one /23, and

the RIPE registrations show them arriving from nine different maintainers:

mnt-de-xsserver-1, mnt-nl-skylink2-1, MNT-NETERRA, mnt-bg-eurocrypt-1,

lir-bg-telco-1-MNT, MNT-ZEXOTEK, MNT-TRAFFIC, bg-sofcompany-1-mnt, and

FEDER-MNT/MNT-LUMASERV, with inetnum countries split across the Netherlands,

Germany and Spain. None of it is a native allocation. The whole inventory is

assembled one /24 at a time from Bulgarian, Dutch, German and Spanish LIRs.

Transit comes from three upstreams: ColocaTel

Notable

• The AS number was registered on 2026-05-29, so this network is only months old. A brand-new AS holding a dozen brokered /24s and no IPv6 is a reseller footprint, not a carrier.
• The registrant is TechTies Inc. at 306 Victoria House, Victoria, Mahé, Seychelles, an offshore incorporation address, while the announced infrastructure and the abuse contact both point at Europe. That mismatch is why geolocation on this page reads Seychelles even though nothing is hosted there.
• Marketing and routing disagree in checkable ways. The operator's site claims "320+ peers", open peering at AMS-IX, DE-CIX and NL-IX, an established session with Hurricane Electric, and cites a PeeringDB entry for AS197170. PeeringDB has no record for this ASN, and RIS observes exactly three BGP neighbours, all of them transit providers. The site's own prefix table lists 5 prefixes where 12 are announced, and the NOC telephone number it publishes (+49 69 1234 5678) is placeholder digits.
• Contact addresses advertised on the site sit on techties.net, a domain with no DNS records at all. The working site and the RIPE abuse contact are on the hyphenated tech-ties.net.

Interesting

• Reverse DNS is almost entirely absent. Across 33 addresses sampled from all 12 prefixes, exactly two answered: dedi-kund-ips.vmheaven.io and ec-promeria.com. Those names, plus the inetnum netnames VMHeaven on 176.65.132.0/24 and Ohz on 185.245.62.0/23 (registered to Ohz Digital S.L. in Spain), point to space sublet to other hosting brands rather than used by TechTies directly.
• RPKI is genuinely in order: 11 of the 12 prefixes validate against a TechTies ROA, with only 185.245.62.0/23 unknown. Several prefixes carry a second valid ROA authorising a different origin, the LIR that leases the block, which is itself the routing signature of leased address space.
