LIBERTY-MOB-PR is Liberty Mobile Puerto Rico Inc., the wireless and wireline carrier that Liberty Latin America bought from AT&T in 2020. AT&T had itself acquired the business from Centennial Communications in 2009, and the network still wears Centennial's name in DNS.

What it's used for

• A real carrier estate: RIS observes 41 IPv4 prefixes covering roughly 110,000 addresses plus one IPv6 /32, against 19 neighbours. That address count with a double-digit neighbour count is an access network with its own transit relationships, not a hosting shop and not a wholesale backbone.
• Reverse DNS is uniform and first-party: nearly every sampled address resolves under centennialpr.net, split between -static.centennialpr.net on the large /18s and /19s and evdo<n>-<addr>.dynamic.centennialpr.net on 208.54.176.0/20. Static blocks plus an explicitly EV-DO-named dynamic pool is a mobile operator that also serves fixed and business customers.

Notable

• The prefixes are registered to Liberty Mobile Puerto Rico under the CENT-IP netname, with an old DIAL-UP-POOL block still registered to Centennial de Puerto Rico. Registrant and announcer are the same company across corporate name changes, which is history, not brokerage.
• One exception: 196.32.128.0/19 is registered to Optivon, Inc rather than to Liberty, yet its addresses carry centennialpr.net rDNS. The space is operationally Liberty's whatever the registry says.

Interesting

• The rDNS is an archaeology layer. centennialpr.net, evdo, and a dial-up pool record all survive two acquisitions on a network now selling LTE and fibre.
