WEBINT is now held by HostPapa, the web-hosting group (ARIN org HOSTP-7, registered at 325 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, New York; the group itself is headquartered in Burlington, Ontario). The AS carries shared and managed web hosting, not access service.

What it's used for

• Seven announced IPv4 prefixes covering 7,424 addresses in RIS, and no IPv6. Every one of them is registered in ARIN to HostPapa itself, under MANAGED-IPV4-1/2/3 netnames, so the announcing party and the registrant match.
• Reverse DNS across all three blocks sits under managed.com: authoritative nameservers (ns1us.managed.com), outbound mail relays (generic260.mxout.managed.com), and long runs of static-ip-<addr>.net-<block>.rdns.managed.com on the customer addresses. That naming, static server addresses plus shared mail and DNS infrastructure, is a hosting estate rather than a subscriber pool.

Notable

• Only one observed neighbour. This is a single-homed hosting network hanging off one upstream, not a carrier: content lives here, transit does not pass through.
• The managed.com branding in rDNS names the platform the space carries, not the legal holder. The registrant data is what identifies the operator, and it says HostPapa throughout.

Interesting

• The WEBINT handle tells you nothing about the present operator; ARIN's record reads HostPapa, with the ASN registered in 2007 and last changed in 2024. Read the org, not the mnemonic.
