ARIN registers the ASN to LakeNet's Gratiot Road address in Hemlock, assigned in 2014 — a reissued number, not an early-internet one, despite the low digits.

Two of the announced ranges (184.105.68.0/23, 184.104.238.0/23) register to Hurricane Electric rather than to LakeNet. That is provider-assigned space from an upstream, a normal arrangement for a small ISP and specifically not the multiple-unrelated-registrant pattern that marks leased or brokered address space — everything else here is first-party. Reverse DNS backs that up: hem-core.lakenetmi.com on router infrastructure and 162-247-144-133.static.lakenetmi.com on customer space, both under the operator's own domain.

The HEMLOCK-FTTH netname is a small piece of honest self-description: the network was built out along roughly a hundred miles of rural road from 2014 onward, and the address inventory is sized for exactly that — a few thousand homes and businesses, no more.
