single person, registered to William Herrin as a sole proprietorship in Seattle,

Washington. It is one of the internet's genuinely small ASes, run by a career

network engineer for his own consultancy and personal infrastructure.

Self-hosting and consultancy infrastructure. RIS sees two IPv4 prefixes

(199.33.224.0/23 plus a more-specific /24, 512 addresses in total) and one

IPv6 /44, with two observed neighbours. Two neighbours is the signature of an

end site that multi-homes for resilience rather than a network that sells

transit. The sampled reverse DNS resolves under dirtside.com, the domain of

Herrin's Seattle consultancy Dirtside Systems, so the space carries his own hosts

rather than customers'.

Notable

• The prefixes are registered in ARIN to Why InterNetworking, not to the AS holder's name. That mismatch looks like the classic leased-space tell until you check: Why? InterNetworking was Herrin's own 1990s web-services business. Same operator, different era, and the rDNS under his current company confirms it. This is history, not brokerage.
