AS11829 CADENCE

CADENCE is the corporate network of Cadence Design Systems, the San Jose

electronic-design-automation company whose tools are used to design chips and

printed circuit boards. This is an enterprise AS, not a service provider.

What it's used for

• Internet-facing corporate infrastructure for Cadence itself. RIS sees six IPv4 prefixes carrying roughly 1,536 addresses, no IPv6, and just three observed neighbours: the shape of a company that buys transit rather than one that sells it.
• Reverse DNS on the sampled addresses lands squarely in cadence.com (hostnames such as an FTP server and a numbered internal host), so the space is serving Cadence's own systems rather than any third-party customer base.

• The prefix registrations look untidier than the network is. Only three of the six /24s register to Cadence itself; the rest sit under a legacy UUNET/Verizon Business customer block and under two other small companies.
