NET-ERAU-PRC is Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the aviation and aerospace

university with residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida and Prescott, Arizona (the

PRC in the handle is Prescott's airport code). The AS carries the university's own campus

space.

What it's used for

• University connectivity across the two residential campuses: student and staff networks, departmental and research systems, and the central services behind them.
• RIS sees 15 IPv4 prefixes / 67,840 addresses and 4 observed neighbours. Tens of thousands of addresses reached through a handful of upstreams is the institutional pattern — a lot of space, very little peering. No IPv6 is announced.

Notable

• The bulk of the space is 155.31.0.0/16, registered to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as ERAU-FLORIDA, with /17, /21 and /23 more-specifics of it also announced. The Arizona side shows up separately as 198.60.3.0/24 under the ERAU-AZ3 handle. One legal entity, two campuses, one AS.
• One prefix, 199.104.253.0/24, is registered to The University of Arizona under the handle UOAZ-Z. This looks like a third-party registrant but is not a leasing tell: the trailing -Z marks an ARIN legacy-cleanup handle, and the registrant is a neighbouring public university — the residue of how the Prescott campus was historically connected, not an unrelated shell. Every other identified registrant is Embry-Riddle itself.
• Several further /24s (204.75.207.0/24, the 206.207.15x.0/24 run, 192.101.135.0/24) round out the inventory; they are consistent with an institution that accumulated small legacy blocks over decades.

Interesting

• The handle names only the Prescott campus, but the address space is overwhelmingly the Florida block. Reading the AS from its handle alone would put the network in Arizona and miss where nearly all of it actually lives.
