AS11721 STYLENTECH

STYLENTECH is StylenTech LLC, a small hosting operator whose public brand is StylenHost — "cloud based hosting, server and storage solutions" plus a software-licensing product. The low AS number is misleading: ARIN's record shows AS11721 was registered to StylenTech in April 2023, so this is a recycled number on a modern network, not an early-internet allocation.

What it's used for

RIS sees three /24s — 768 IPv4 addresses — and five IPv6 /48s, against two observed neighbours. Two upstreams and no peering fabric is a single-homed-plus-backup hosting shop, and the address count says the same: this is server space, not access space, because 768 addresses cannot carry an eyeball network but comfortably carry a few racks of VMs. The ARIN network handles say what the space is for outright — NET-STYLENHOST-V4-3 on the 155.103.216.0/23 pair and NET-STYLENTECH-V4-1 on 23.151.8.0/24.

All three IPv4 prefixes are registered in ARIN directly to StylenTech LLC. Self-registered space with the operator's own brand in the netname is what separates a real (if small) hosting company from address-leasing dressed up as one, and that is the reason this one is called hosting rather than held out.

Notable

Two details are worth recording rather than over-reading. The IPv6 spans two RIRs at once — three 2602:fa8a:…::/48s out of ARIN space alongside 2a0f:9400:7384::/48 and 2a0b:b87:ff15::/48 out of RIPE space — and the ARIN org address, Suite 27060 at 30 N Gould St in Sheridan, Wyoming, is a registered-agent mail-forwarding address rather than a place with servers in it. Neither is damning on its own for a small hosting provider, but the pair is the reason the confidence here is not high.

Interesting

The sampled reverse DNS on 23.151.8.0/24 comes back as static.5.8.151.23.example.com — a PTR generator whose template was never filled in, still pointing at RFC 2606's reserved documentation domain.
