AS11588 AS-STACKPATH

LAMBDA-BB is held by Lambda, the San Jose GPU-cloud company (2510 Zanker Rd) that sells deep-learning compute — cloud GPU instances, clusters, servers and workstations. This is a recently reissued AS number, not an old network.

What it's used for

ARIN's registry is explicit: the autnum was registered on 2025-08-27, last changed the same day, under org handle LL-874. Older inventories still label AS11588 with a StackPath handle; that record is stale. Anything you read about this AS's history belongs to a previous holder, and the low AS number says nothing about the age of the network now using it.

The current footprint is small and young-looking: RIS sees 1 IPv4 prefix, 198.145.39.0/24 (256 addresses), 1 IPv6 prefix, 2607:bb40::/32, and 9 observed neighbours. The /24 registers to Lambda itself (LL-4-1). Nine neighbours against a single /24 is not a transit role — it is a well-connected edge, an operator peering at exchanges while carrying very little address space through this particular AS.

That combination reads as early build-out. A /32 of IPv6 is a full provider-sized allocation; a single /24 of IPv4 is a starter block. Lambda's production GPU capacity is not primarily numbered here.

Notable

The classification is hosting because that is the business — rented compute — but note the caveat: this AS carries a fraction of it. Treat AS11588 as Lambda's newly numbered network, and do not attribute its predecessor's routing or reputation to it.
