number, this is a recent registration: ARIN records the ASN as registered in

January 2025, so the number was recycled rather than inherited from the early

internet.

What it's used for

• Proxy egress. Xproxies sells residential, datacentre, and mobile proxies to customers who want to source traffic from addresses other than their own, and the AS exists to announce the address space that traffic leaves from.
• RIS sees 1 announced IPv4 prefix, 23.132.244.0/24 (256 addresses), one IPv6 prefix (2604:120::/32), and only 1 observed BGP neighbour. A single /24 behind a single upstream is not an access network, a hosting platform, or a carrier. It is a small, purpose-built block.

Notable

• The ARIN registration is worth reading closely. The org handle is XPROX, the address is a suite in an office tower on East Byrd Street in Richmond, Virginia, and every role — technical, abuse, administrative, routing, DNS, NOC — points at one contact at an xproxies.com address. That is a one-person registration footprint, which is normal for this kind of operator and worth knowing when deciding how much the paperwork tells you.
• The netname on the /24 is INFINITY-BROADBAND. A proxy company naming its block "broadband" is exactly the dressing that makes proxy space read as consumer access space to anyone classifying on names alone. Take it as a caution, not as evidence: the network is not a broadband ISP and its addresses should not be treated as residential eyeballs just because a netname says so.

Interesting

• The IPv6 allocation is a /32 against an IPv4 footprint of one /24. That lopsided ratio is common for operators whose product is addresses rather than connectivity, because IPv6 is cheap to obtain and IPv4 is what customers will actually pay for.
