CYBERTRAILS is held by CyberTrails, a Phoenix, Arizona managed-IT and data-centre operator founded in the mid-1990s and running a colocation facility on West Lone Cactus Drive in north Phoenix. It was acquired by the national MSP NexusTek in 2017 and now operates inside that group. RIS sees 16 IPv4 prefixes, 66,048 addresses, no IPv6, and 4 observed neighbours.

What it's used for

Managed hosting, colocation and business connectivity for Arizona-area organisations. The great majority of the routed space is the legacy 162.42.0.0/16 — registered in ARIN directly to CyberTrails — announced both as the covering /16 and as a scatter of more-specific /21s and /24s out of 162.42.24.0–162.42.75.0. That deaggregation pattern is normal for a provider carving a large block into per-customer and per-facility assignments and steering them individually. A router PTR on 162.42.0.5, fe-0-0-2.cr1.sno.cybertrails.com, confirms first-party infrastructure inside the block: a named core-router interface on the company's own domain.

One prefix, 104.245.80.0/24, is registered not to CyberTrails but to Breakthrough Technology Group (BTG-NJ), a New Jersey managed private-cloud provider. That is not a third-party or leasing tell. Abry Partners merged BTG into NexusTek in 2018, so BTG and CyberTrails are sister companies under the same parent — exactly the intra-group registrant pattern that a post-acquisition network leaves behind, and the reason to read the registrant field against corporate history rather than firing on any name mismatch.

Four observed neighbours against sixty-odd thousand addresses is the signature of a regional provider, not a carrier: it buys transit from a handful of upstreams and sells capacity, colo and managed services downstream rather than peering broadly. Addresses in 162.42.0.0/16 should be read as business-hosted infrastructure, not consumer eyeballs.
