LINKBERMUDA belongs to LinkBermuda Ltd, one of Bermuda's principal telecommunications carriers. It is the former Cable & Wireless (Bermuda) business, renamed LinkBermuda in 2011 after the island's telecoms reform and now owned by the Canadian operator Eastlink (Bragg Communications, Nova Scotia).

RIS observes 19 IPv4 prefixes carrying 15,104 addresses, one IPv6 prefix (2605:e80::/32), and 19 observed neighbours. That neighbour count is the interesting number: it is far too high for an enterprise and far too low for a global wholesale carrier. It is exactly what an island incumbent looks like — a network that must reach the rest of the world through several international transit providers and subsea routes, peer at a handful of exchanges, and serve customers behind it.

Reverse DNS settles what the space carries. Addresses across 207.2.96.0/24, 199.193.228.0/22 and 200.1.160.0/24 all answer as host-<ip>.public.eastlink.ca — the generic subscriber-pool naming of the Canadian parent, applied to Bermudian customer space. Public access pools under the owner's own reverse zone means these blocks front end-user connectivity, not servers.

Notable

Several prefixes — 208.75.200.0/22, 208.89.228.0/22, 208.82.164.0/22 — are registered not to LinkBermuda but to Bermuda Digital Communications Ltd., the operator behind CellOne, now part of One Communications. A carrier announcing another named local telecom's registered space is an ordinary transit or gateway relationship, not the multi-registrant scatter that signals IP leasing: the registrant is a real, findable Bermudian operator, and LinkBermuda is the international route out of the island for it. The PTR mms.c1.bm on 200.10.166.133, a CellOne multimedia-messaging host, is the same relationship visible from the other side.

Interesting

The registry handles are a fossil record of the company's history. The blocks still carry names like CW-BDA, CWBDANETWORK, CWBDA-BM and CABLEWIRE — Cable & Wireless Bermuda, an identity retired more than a decade ago and still stamped on every allocation.
