AS11253 (AAAWIRELESSIT) belongs to AAA Wireless IT, a family-run fixed-wireless internet provider in Colville, Washington, serving the rural northeast corner of the state. The low AS number is misleading: this is a recycled ASN, issued to a brand-new operator in 2023.

What it's used for

This is about the smallest routable footprint an independent ISP can have: one /24, one upstream, no redundancy. Speeds in that range, sold by the month in a mountain county, are the economics of point-to-point wireless to homes.

A single /24 cannot number many subscribers directly, so customer addressing almost certainly sits behind carrier NAT, with the public block carrying the network's own infrastructure and any static assignments.

The registration record deserves a careful read, because one detail looks bad and isn't. The org's ARIN address is a private mailbox (PMB #163), normally one of the tells for an IP-leasing or residential-proxy shell. Everything else contradicts that reading: the single prefix is self-registered to AAAWIRELESSIT-NET1 under the holder's own org, there is no scattered multi-RIR inventory, there are no unrelated third-party registrants, and the business is entirely findable, with a website, a phone number, published pricing and an active Washington state contractor licence. A mailbox address in a small rural town is a small business, not a front.

The paperwork shows a network being born. The AAAWI-1 org record was created on 29 June 2023; ARIN issued AS11253 three weeks later, on 19 July 2023. ARIN also handed them a full /32 of IPv6, the standard ISP-sized allocation, so the v6 block is far larger than the v4 one this network will ever need.
