MHSFL is Managed Hosting Services, LLC of 1540 International Parkway, Lake Mary, Florida (ARIN org MHSL-1). This is a small, present-day hosting company that happens to hold a very low AS number — the number was re-issued to it, not inherited from the early internet.

What it's used for

A single-site hosting footprint. RIS sees just three IPv4 prefixes / 768 addresses (198.183.220.0/24, 198.183.221.0/24, 198.183.223.0/24), no IPv6, and only two observed neighbours. Two neighbours is a dual-homed edge: the AS exists so the operator can keep its own addresses while changing upstreams, not because it sells transit to anyone. All three prefixes are registered in ARIN to MHS1 — the holder's own network handle — so the space is self-registered rather than leased in from third parties, which is the key check against the IP-broker shape.

Notable

ARIN's records date the organisation to October 2013 and the ASN registration to January 2014. Both dates are modern and ARIN dates are genuine (unlike RIPE's bulk-import artefacts), so this is a genuine re-issue of a recycled number rather than a long-lived 1990s allocation.
