XPO LOGISTICS is the corporate network of XPO, the American less-than-truckload freight carrier. This is one of the rare cases in this range where the famous-sounding handle is exactly what it appears to be: ARIN's org record (XL-90) and every announced prefix are registered to XPO Logistics Inc, and the registered address is a real freight facility — 2055 NW Savier St, Portland, Oregon.

What it's used for

An enterprise network, not a service provider. XPO announces three contiguous IPv4 /24s — 74.120.176.0/24, 74.120.177.0/24 and 74.120.178.0/24, 768 addresses in total — and no IPv6. All three sit inside a single ARIN direct allocation named XPO-LOGISTICS, created in December 2009 and self-registered to the holder.

The routing shape agrees. RIS observes exactly one BGP neighbour: a single upstream, no peering fabric, no downstream customers. A network carrying the company's own internet-facing systems — terminal and dock connectivity, freight tracking and customer-facing portals, remote-office egress — looks precisely like this. It is deliberately small; a trucking company's IT estate does not need address space, it needs a stable prefix it can announce from its own AS.

Contiguity is the tell that separates a corporate holder from an address broker. Three sequential /24s from one 2009 allocation, all registered to the announcing org, is the opposite of the scattered multi-RIR patchwork registered to unrelated third parties that marks a leasing operation.

Interesting

The Portland address is not XPO's Greenwich, Connecticut headquarters. It is the freight campus historically associated with Con-way Freight and Menlo Worldwide — the businesses XPO absorbed when it acquired Con-way in 2015 — which is why an LTL carrier's ASN carries an Oregon postal address to this day.
