AS11029 NETVATA

NETVATA is NetVata, LLC, registered with ARIN in St Petersburg, Florida. The company sells bandwidth and managed connectivity into multi-dwelling units, campuses and commercial properties — the building-level ISP model, where the operator lights a property and resells access to the residents or tenants inside it.

What it's used for

Serving those properties. RIS observes one IPv4 /24 (23.182.216.0/24, 256 addresses) and one IPv6 /32 (2607:91c0::/32), against nine observed BGP neighbours. That shape is coherent for a small access provider in 2020s conditions: almost no public IPv4 to hand out, so subscribers sit behind carrier-grade NAT while IPv6 is delegated natively from a large allocation. Nine neighbours is more than a single-homed enterprise and far short of a carrier — a provider that buys from several upstreams and peers a little.

The /24 is registered in ARIN as NETV, to the holder itself, and the AS operates under its own netvata.com domain with published NOC and abuse contacts. Nothing here resembles the leased-address pattern, where announced prefixes trace back to unrelated third-party registrants.

Notable

The low AS number is not a sign of age. ARIN registered AS11029 to NetVata in February 2024 — a recycled number on a young company, which is common across this range.

The residential reading rests on the operator's own stated business, not on observed reverse DNS: no PTRs came back on the addresses sampled, and that is a sample, not a finding.
