What it's used for

Web and mail hosting, served from a small, dense address footprint. RIS sees 6 announced IPv4 prefixes carrying about 29,440 addresses, plus one IPv6 /48 (2606:13c0::/48), against 2 observed BGP neighbours. Two peers is a single-site network buying transit from a couple of carriers — the opposite of a wholesale operator, and exactly what a hosting company with one data centre looks like.

The reverse DNS settles the use. Sampled PTRs are third-party service hostnames — abc.catalysiswebhosting.com, server.chart-thing.com, mx3.mailer.cawarmy.com, mail2.adlibsoft.org, ftp.psi-online.net — sitting alongside AIT's own nagios.ait.com monitoring host and nameservices.net, AIT's domain-registration brand. Customer-branded servers and mail exchangers scattered through the space, with the operator's own infrastructure interleaved, is the fingerprint of a multi-tenant hosting estate rather than an access network.
