AS10390 TELECHECK

TELECHECK is held by Fiserv Solutions, LLC. TeleCheck is the cheque-acceptance and verification brand that came to Fiserv through its acquisition of First Data, and it decides in real time whether a merchant should accept a paper cheque or an electronic debit.

What it's used for

This is one of the smallest useful footprints in the range: RIS sees a single IPv4 prefix, 204.194.122.0/24 (256 addresses), plus one IPv6 /48 (2620:10f:400f::/48). A single /24 and a single /48 is what a payments company announces when it needs a specific, stable, publicly routable island: a set of endpoints that merchant terminals, gateways and partner banks can allowlist by IP.

That allowlisting requirement is precisely why such a network exists as its own AS at all. The addresses need to be portable across upstreams and stable for years, because thousands of merchant integrations and bank firewall rules are pinned to them. Renumbering would break the ecosystem.

Notable

The kind is enterprise/business, and the routing settles it. One observed BGP neighbour and 256 addresses cannot be an ISP, a hosting platform or a carrier; there is nothing to sell. It is a corporate service endpoint block belonging to a financial-services firm.

The IPv6 /48 from 2620:10f::/32 is a direct ARIN assignment rather than provider space, which reinforces the same point: the addresses are meant to be independent of whoever provides transit this year.
