What it's used for

Home and small-business internet across rural Maine. Redzone delivers service from tower sites straight to a receiver on the customer's building rather than by buried cable, which is what makes it viable in coastal towns and island communities where fibre economics fail. It serves customers across the state, including a number of island communities that have no other wired option.

This is an eyeball network and the neighbour count settles it. Roughly 10,000 addresses with exactly one observed BGP neighbour is a single-homed regional access ISP: it buys transit from one upstream and sells connectivity to end users. A wholesale carrier with comparable space would show hundreds of adjacencies, and a hosting provider would be multi-homed as a matter of course. Neither pattern appears.

The address count is also the right order of magnitude for the customer base — a fixed-wireless operator serving thousands of subscribers needs exactly this much space, and no more. Geolocate this space to Maine, and expect residential users behind it.
