What it's used for

• Enterprise connectivity and hosted infrastructure in south-central India. Nettlinx's own positioning is corporate rather than consumer: converged data/voice/video links to businesses, plus a Hyderabad data centre and colocation.
• RIS sees 31 IPv4 prefixes covering 8,192 addresses and one IPv6 prefix, 2404:3f00::/32. The v4 estate is a long run of individually announced /24s out of 202.53.64.0–202.53.94.0, with 202.41.0.0/23 alongside.

Notable

• Business/enterprise ISP, and the reverse DNS is unusually explicit about it. Every sampled PTR follows the pattern arpa.static.5.73.53.202.nettlinx.com — first-party naming under the operator's own domain, and the word in the middle is static. A residential eyeball network names its pools dsl-, pool-, dhcp or cgn; a network that hands each customer a fixed, permanently assigned address is serving leased lines, branch routers and hosted servers. There is not a dynamic-pool name anywhere in the sample.
• The 8 observed BGP neighbours rule out a wholesale carrier role, which would show hundreds to thousands of adjacencies, and the first-party rDNS across self-registered legacy APNIC space rules out the address-broker silhouette. This is a real regional operator announcing its own inventory.

Interesting

• Eight thousand addresses spread over 31 separate /24 announcements is a network that grew by accretion and now steers customer blocks individually, which is what you do when each /24 has a different upstream preference or a different enterprise sitting on it.
