Status companies of Malaysia's Multimedia Super Corridor programme.

What it's used for

• Corporate internet access, private WAN and managed services for Malaysian businesses, plus data-centre and cloud services from NTT's Nexcenter facility. The reverse DNS sample lands on draas-demo-esx.nttmsc.my — a disaster-recovery-as-a-service demonstration hypervisor, which is exactly the kind of first-party managed-hosting asset you would expect to find in this space.

This is a business ISP, not an eyeball network and not a wholesale carrier.

RIS sees 29 announced IPv4 prefixes covering 23,552 addresses, **2 IPv6

prefixes, and 19 observed neighbours**. Nineteen peers is the tell: far more

than the two or three a pure enterprise keeps, far fewer than the hundreds a

transit carrier accumulates. That is the profile of a regional ISP that peers

locally, buys upstream transit, and sells connectivity to corporate customers.

The prefixes are a mix of an old aggregate — 203.115.192.0/18, deaggregated into

/19s, /20s and /24s for traffic engineering — and newer scattered APNIC blocks

(45.115.220.0/22, 43.231.224.0/22, 103.229.32.0/22). That is normal growth

for a two-decade-old operator, not address brokering: the space is announced by

the operator itself and carries its own named infrastructure.

Interesting

The Arcnet brand predates NTT's ownership and survived it. NTT's global Tier-1

backbone is a different network entirely; this AS is the local Malaysian

service provider that sits behind it.
