The name alone would not settle the kind — University in a legal name is not

proof of an education network, and plenty of commercial holders carry

institutional-sounding titles. Here the reverse DNS confirms it directly: the one

PTR in the sample resolves to spam.cup.ac.kr, an anti-spam mail gateway under

Korea's .ac.kr academic domain, which only accredited educational institutions

may use. That is first-party rDNS on the university's own space, so the network

carries what the holder's name says it does.

The routing is a small, single-homed campus. RIS sees **2 announced IPv4 prefixes

totalling 2,560 addresses** (203.232.208.0/21 and 210.93.62.0/23), no IPv6,

and only 1 observed neighbour. A single upstream is the honest signal that

this is a customer network, not a provider: the university buys transit and

announces its own space so it can keep its addresses if it changes carrier, but

it sells connectivity to no one. A carrier would peer with hundreds of ASes.

Interesting

2,560 addresses is enough for a mid-sized campus of the era when every device got
