HAIONNET-AS-KR is HAIonNet Co., Ltd., a Seoul network-services company based in

the Guro Digital Complex. It has sold corporate connectivity since 2001: dedicated

VPN circuits, managed UTM firewalls, 24-hour network and security monitoring, and

colocation in its own small IDC.

What it's used for

• Business-to-business connectivity and hosted infrastructure. The company's pitch is to small and mid-sized Korean firms that want a managed private network between sites — plus international circuits into its Vietnam and China operations — rather than to consumers.

Notable

The shape is a small B2B provider, not a carrier and not an eyeball ISP. RIS

sees 3 announced IPv4 prefixes totalling 768 addresses, no IPv6, and **2

observed neighbours**. Two neighbours means HAIonNet buys transit rather than

selling it: a wholesale carrier peers with hundreds of ASes, and this one peers

with a pair of upstreams. Meanwhile 768 addresses is far too little to number a

residential subscriber base, but is a sensible amount for colocated servers,

managed-firewall outsides and VPN concentrator endpoints — one public address per

customer edge, not per customer device.

All three prefixes are adjacent /24s out of 115.144.0.0/16, which is the tidy

signature of space allocated to the operator itself rather than assembled from

brokered blocks.

Interesting

The corporate-VPN business is the reason the address count stays small: most of

what HAIonNet carries is inside tunnels between customer sites, so it never

needs public addresses. What is visible in BGP is only the front door — the

colocation racks and the terminating ends of those tunnels.
