Notable

This is a genuine education network, and the evidence says so directly rather

than by inference from the word University in the name. The pack's sampled

reverse DNS resolves 203.234.36.5 to pegasus.snue.ac.kr — a host named under

the college's own ac.kr (academic Korea) domain, which is the registry-gated

namespace reserved for accredited Korean institutions. First-party rDNS inside

ac.kr means the college both holds the space and uses it itself, so there is no

"who really operates this" question.

The routing shape agrees: three announced IPv4 prefixes totalling 1,280

addresses, no IPv6, and one observed BGP neighbour. A single upstream is what

a campus with one physical site looks like. The three prefixes sit in unrelated

blocks (203.234.36.0/23, 210.93.22.0/23, 211.104.111.0/24), the normal

result of a small institution picking up allocations across two decades rather

than any sign of address trading.

• Roughly a thousand routable addresses is tiny for a university, which tells you most of the campus lives behind NAT; the public block is essentially servers, DMZ and the eduroam-facing edge.
