OMNI is OMNIconnect Pty Ltd, a small licensed Australian telecommunications carrier operating out of Melbourne. It has been a carrier since 1997 and sells business broadband, multi-site private networks over fixed wireless and fibre, and colocation and hosting from its own data centre at Carrum Downs.

The AS announces 14 IPv4 prefixes totalling 7,936 addresses plus a single IPv6 /32, mostly out of 203.143.64.0/20 with a couple of unrelated blocks. The sampled reverse DNS is first-party throughout and explicitly customer-shaped: cust-5.net-67.omni.net.au, cust-133.static.net-66.omni.net.au, host-203.143.81.5.omni.net.au. Those are per-customer static assignments, the pattern of a carrier handing fixed IPs to businesses, not a dynamic residential pool. One sampled address answers under a customer's own domain (keu.webmascot.com), which is what colocation and hosted-server space looks like.

This is a business ISP, and the evidence stacks in one direction. Around 7,900 addresses against just 3 observed BGP neighbours rules out any wholesale role. The cust-/static naming rules out an eyeball network. And an operator whose own marketing leads with data-centre colocation and business-grade fibre is exactly what the routing table shows.

Interesting

The omni.net.au and omniconnect.com.au domains are the same operator; the older, shorter one survives in reverse DNS long after the marketing moved on. Geolocate this space to Melbourne businesses and to OMNIconnect's own data centre.
