EASYCALL-PH-AS belongs to EasyCall Communications Philippines, Inc., a listed Manila company that was the country's dominant alphanumeric paging operator in the 1990s and reinvented itself as an internet and managed-services provider when SMS killed the pager.

What it's used for

EasyCall launched its internet business in September 2000 with consumer and corporate products, shut down paging entirely in 2002, and has since settled into managed technology services and technical support. Since 2015 it has also sold satellite connectivity under the EasyNet brand, using VSAT terminals to reach parts of the Philippines that fibre and cellular backhaul do not serve. The AS carries that customer estate and the company's own infrastructure.

RIS sees 8 IPv4 prefixes / 6,912 addresses, all drawn from one contiguous 203.104.64.0-region block and deaggregated into a /20, a /22, a /23 and several /24s — a single historical APNIC allocation carved up for internal use, not space accreted from many sources. Crucially there are only 2 observed neighbours. That rules out any wholesale role: a carrier reselling capacity to other Philippine ISPs would peer far more widely. Two upstreams and one aggregate is the profile of an end-provider serving its own corporate and remote-site customers.

The company is a useful reminder that an ASN's number dates it, not its business. AS10096 was assigned when EasyCall was a paging company; three business models later, the same number now routes VSAT links to rural islands.
