CYNERGIC-AS-AP belongs to Cynergic, an Australian ICT consultancy that also runs its own network. It sells connectivity as one item on a managed-IT menu rather than as a standalone consumer product.

What it's used for

Cynergic's business is business IT: cloud productivity tooling, unified communications, cybersecurity products and support, with ADSL and fibre access (advertised from 1.5 Mbps up to 1 Gbps) bundled alongside. The AS carries that customer estate — office links, hosted services and the company's own infrastructure.

This is an enterprise-facing ISP, not an eyeball network, and the shape of the routing is the argument. RIS sees 6 IPv4 prefixes / 1,536 addresses and 11 observed neighbours. Both numbers matter. The address count is far too small to be a residential access network of any consequence — a few /24s is a static-IP pool for business customers, not a subscriber pool. The eleven neighbours are more than a pure end-site enterprise would carry but nowhere near a carrier's hundreds, which is exactly what a small regional provider looks like when it multihomes and picks up peering at a local exchange. The only sampled PTR, pdns.cynergic.com.au, is a first-party nameserver: the space is self-registered and self-named, which rules out the address-broker pattern.
