AS10060 YONSEI01-AS-KR YONSEI UNIVERSITY HEALTH SYSTEM

YONSEI01-AS-KR is the Yonsei University Health System, the medical arm of Yonsei University in Seoul. It runs Severance Hospital and the university's college of medicine, dentistry and nursing. AS10060 carries that medical campus, which is operated separately from the main Yonsei academic network.

The sampled reverse DNS confirms the holder rather than merely hinting at it: 128.134.208.5 resolves to yumc.yonsei.ac.kr — Yonsei University Medical Center, first-party naming inside the university's own .ac.kr zone. Combined with two observed BGP neighbours against 5,376 addresses, this is unambiguously an end-site that multihomes and re-announces nothing. Classified here as education because the operator is a university health system on academic address space; the practical use is a teaching hospital, so treat traffic from it as institutional rather than residential.

Interesting

The 128.134.0.0 range is legacy Class-B space, which is why the university medical centre holds a block far older than its address count would suggest. The separate AS for the health system is common practice for large academic medical centres: clinical networks carry patient data and are kept administratively distinct from the general campus.
