AS10042 DPC-AS-KR SUSEONG COLLEGE

DPC-AS-KR is Suseong University in Daegu — long known in English as Suseong College or

Daegu Polytechnic College, hence the DPC handle, and renamed Suseong University in 2012. It

is a private vocational institution founded in 1967 under the Jinan Academy school corporation,

based in Suseong-gu and strongest in its healthcare and arts departments.

What it's used for

• Campus networking: student and staff wired and Wi-Fi access, lecture halls and practice labs, the library, and the university's web, portal and administrative systems.

Notable

• This is an education network, and here the name and the evidence agree. Note that the word "College" would not have settled it on its own — but the routing shape does. RIS observes 8 IPv4 prefixes carrying 2,048 addresses and just 1 observed neighbour.
• A single upstream is the giveaway. Campuses in Korea typically take their transit from KREONET or a national research/education network rather than buying diverse commercial transit, and a single-homed AS announcing a couple of thousand addresses is a classic end-site institution: it needs its own number for policy and for provider-independent addressing, but it has no reason to multi-home and nothing to resell.
• The prefixes are two clean contiguous runs — 211.223.224.0/24 through .227.0/24, and 220.68.96.0/24 through .99.0/24 — i.e. a /22 from each of two eras, split into /24s for internal routing. That is an allocation history, not a scattered broker portfolio.
