NHNCLOUDSERVICE-AS-KR is registered to NHN Cloud, the Korean public-cloud provider spun

out of NHN Corporation in April 2022. The business began as NHN's internal infrastructure

arm, launched publicly as TOAST Cloud in 2014, and now runs its own data centres — including

an AI/HPC facility in Gwangju — serving public and private cloud customers in Korea and the

wider Asia-Pacific.

What it's used for

• Public cloud: compute, storage, managed databases, container and AI/HPC services, plus the government-cloud and enterprise IDC work NHN Cloud specialises in.
• This particular AS carries only a sliver of that. RIS observes exactly one IPv4 prefix, 103.243.200.0/24 (256 addresses), behind a single observed neighbour.

Notable

• The kind is hosting/cloud on the strength of the operator, not the routing — because the routing is tiny. One /24 announced through one upstream is not a cloud platform's production footprint; NHN Cloud's customer-facing capacity lives in other ASNs and in space registered elsewhere. Read this number as a narrow, purpose-specific announcement (an edge, management or service block) rather than as the company's estate.
• That gap matters for anyone sizing the provider from BGP: the AS is a poor proxy for NHN Cloud's actual scale, and it would be wrong to conclude from 256 addresses that the operator is small.

Interesting

• The low ASN is inherited history, not vintage cloud. Number 10038 predates NHN Cloud by decades and reflects an early Korean allocation carried forward through the group.
